Tenugui Fabric

Tenugui are lengths of Japanese woven and printed cotton fabric. They are printed with either contemporary or traditional images. The traditional “chusen” way to print tenugui, first used in the 1800′s, is still used today. Ubiquitous in Japan, they are used as decoration, placemats, kitchen cloths, covers, and wrappings. Or you could simply frame your favourite.
