Finn Jordan – Salon Interior

Be Inspired

For this central Cambridge beauty salon interior, we were tasked to develop a unique, contemporary scheme. This needed to include hairdressing stations, pedicure stations and a nail bar while allowing for more clients than the previous layout. The project had to have an elegant solution aimed at a specific target market to increase the salon’s footfall in their Sussex Street shop. The client also wanted to create a larger reception and waiting area fronted by better, more dynamic window displays. These displays needed to obscure any clientele from view to create a relaxing environment in which to wait for treatments.

Loci were taken on as Interior Designers on the project, developing all layout plans and concept boards, going on to specify and procure the full package of furniture, lighting, electrical, flooring, decoration and artwork. To ensure the salon interior was completed as per the design intent, Loci provided full end to end project management working closely with trusted contractors to see the job through to completion. The construction was also phased, with works taking place out of hours, to allow for elements of the business to remain open throughout the refurbishment.

The final design featured bespoke geometric windows screens partially obstructing customers from view while still creating a busy atmosphere through the salons window display and allowing as much natural light into the shop as possible. Hexagonal plinths add to the elegant shop front with on trend pendant lighting used to highlight the salon’s product display. The simple colour scheme featuring golds and greys gives a subtle nod to current trends while keeping a classic and timeless feel for a design that will last.

We’re proud to have been a part of this beautiful Cambridge project completed within a limited timeframe with a modest budget. The client was delighted with the elegant salon interior and contemporary on brand shop frontage.
