Architect, Architectural Designer/Technician

Key Responsibilities

  • Work productively alongside the design team, acting as a loyal representative, enhancing the progress of Loci Interiors
  • Generate ideas, concepts and designs
  • Help to develop projects from conception to installation
  • Produce site surveys
  • Draw up layouts, plans and elevations
  • Produce concept sheets and specification schedules
  • Produce schemes that cohesively represent the brand, through signage, furniture, colours, lighting, artworks etc.
  • Produce works schedules
  • Assistance with the management of projects
  • Liaison with clients
  • Help manage contractors and suppliers on and off site
  • Working to budgeted project costs
  • Oversee production and manage installation of fit out items
  • Win new clients, develop profitable new business


  • Minimum of RIBA part 1 required, RIBA part 2 or 3 favorable (or equivalent)
  • At least 2 years’ practical experience in technical design and interior architecture
  • Prepare full packages of technical design, tender and construction drawings from general arrangements through to section details
  • Be confident in working on a number of projects at any one time
  • Excellent presentation, conceptual and visualizing skills
  • Apple based – Proficient in Vectorworks, Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator)
  • A passion for interior architecture and design
  • An ability to produce appropriate schemes
  • A competence in product design
  • On-site experience
  • Have a good working knowledge of building components, construction, joinery, electrical, mechanical and other associated building trades
  • A sound knowledge of planning requirements, construction standards, compliancy issues, current legislation and codes of practice
  • The ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment with a genuine understanding of deadlines
  • A proactive team worker – Assisting with general office welfare
  • To be professional and diplomatic with colleagues, clients and contractors
  • Strong communication skills
