The Richard Eden Suite – Clare Hall, Cambridge

Loci Interiors were asked to develop a design scheme for the refurbishment of The Richard Eden Suite at Clare Hall College, Cambridge. Creating a welcoming and desirable venue offering contemporary conference facilities, the space also functions for more informal gatherings, weddings, meetings and drinks receptions. The Suite is named in honour of Professor Richard J Eden OBE. Richard Eden, Emeritus Professor of energy studies, was first elected to a Fellowship at Clare College in 1951 when he became Clare’s director of studies in mathematics. He went with his wife and children to the Princeton Institute for Advanced Study in 1954, and subsequently he was a frequent visitor to universities and research centres in the United States and Europe. In February 1966 he became a founding Fellow of Clare Hall, where he is now an Honorary Fellow.
