East House, The Leys School, Cambridge

East House Sixth Form Boys Boarding House at the The Ley’s School in Cambridge, is the fifth house Loci have refurbished for the school. Now completed, the scheme employs a theme of ‘Exploration’. Sympathetic treatment and a redesign of the space now features a muted colour palette, antiqued brass finishes, along with new lighting along and clever use of natural light.References to the compass signage of the boarding house along with historical exploration maps, astronomy and navigational imagery are complemented by the use of leather and tartan fabrics providing for a comfortable and mature recreation environment for sixth form boarders. For more images of this and other boarding house, schools and college projects we have completed visit our project pages here
